AS Recycling hires recycling assistants at the beginning and end of each semester and office assistants as positions open up. To apply for a warehouse or office position, please check with the office assistant in BMU 301 to find out if there are any openings in the following positions:

Recycling Assistant - Under the supervision of the AS Recycling Coordinator, Recycling Assistants collect and process recyclables and compost materials from various buildings on campus.

Office Assistant - Under the supervision of the Recycling Coordinator, Office Assistants oversee general office operations.

Internships

Under the supervision of the AS Recycling and Sustainability Coordinators, interns receive guidance and support as they gain professional, hands-on experience. These are year-long long positions lasting from August to May. Internship announcements are released in April for the following school year. Applicants who have completed unpaid internships with environmental/sustainable programs on campus have the highest priority.

Recycling Internships

Recycling Education Coordinator - The Recycling Education Coordinator organizes and administers activities throughout the year which focus on waste reduction and practices such as reducing, reusing, recycling and composting.

Compost Education Coordinators (2) - The Compost Education Coordinators organize and administer activities throughout the year, which focus on organic waste reduction practices and composting. The coordinators are tasked with maintaining the Compost Display Garden as well.
