FUNDING OPPORTUNITIES FOR STUDENT ORGANIZATIONS

Event Funding Opportunities

There are two ways that recognized student organizations can apply for event funding.

1. Activity Fee Council: Funding available for a broad variety of events. Maximum funding amount per event is $4,000.

Activity Fee Commissioner: Desiree Tavares, 530-898-5701 asactivityfee@csuchico.edu

2. Multicultural Affairs Council:Funding available for cultural events. Maximum funding amount per event is $4,000.

Multicultural Affairs Commissioner: Mari DeLaCerda, 530-898-5701 asmulticultural@csuchico.edu

In order to receive this funding the student group will need to meet with the commissioner listed above. At this meeting the commissioner will go over the process for funding. The process includes the completion of a funding proposal (sample proposal) and two presentations to the council. Prior to meeting with the commissioner, read over the sample proposal, paying special attention to the narrative section. Make sure that you are prepared to discuss these items and your event.

Revenue Sharing

Revenue Sharing is a way that students can directly allocate a portion of their Activity Fee to recognized student organizations and programs. During the spring election, each voter has the opportunity to allocate $10 of his or her Activity Fee to one organization or $5 each to two organizations. To be eligible for the ballot, an organization must be recognized by the University prior to February 1st of the current year. Revenue Sharing Fact Sheet
